Walk and Talk Therapy is where a counselling session takes place in the outdoors. We may walk together side by side as we talk or we could simply sit on a bench outside. Any walking is absolutely done at your own pace.
You may prefer to be outside and moving, rather than sitting in a room. Being outdoors in nature is a therapeutic experience in itself. We may use metaphor or symbols in nature to describe your feelings.
Walking and Talking means that we are exposed a little more to other people and encounters. You may see someone who you know and there is less privacy. This is something that we will initially talk about so that you are able to make an informed decision.
I currently have 2 Walk and Talk routes.
The first is through Cotgrave Country Park and the other is along the Bingham Line. Both routes are in the Rushcliffe area of Nottinghamshire and are fairly flat routes. We will walk at your pace and we can stop and rest at any point.
Please get in touch via my email rushcliffecounselling@proton.me and we can discuss how we can work together.
I also have a fact sheet about Walk and Talk in my Blog section.
£50 per session.
